Are you highly analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about ensuring financial accuracy? Payroll Management, Inc. is seeking a Client Funds Reconciliation Specialist to play a critical role in managing and reconciling client funds, researching discrepancies, and supporting the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions.

This position is ideal for an experienced accounting or finance professional who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and collaborating across departments to ensure client funds are properly collected, reconciled, and refunded when necessary.

What You'll Do

As a Client Funds Reconciliation Specialist, you will:

• Reconcile assigned balance sheet and client-related accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate and resolve account variances, discrepancies, and reconciliation differences.
• Balance and reconcile client tax funds for new and terminating clients.
• Monitor client fund activity and research issues requiring correction or follow-up.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper collection, refunding, and accounting treatment of client funds.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and transaction research.
• Maintain organized documentation to support audits, compliance requirements, and management review.
• Research and resolve accounting, client, and system-related issues.
• Partner with Accounting, Tax, Operations, and Technology teams to improve processes and efficiencies.
• Identify opportunities for automation and recommend improvements that strengthen internal controls and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive client and financial information.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in accounting, reconciliations, financial operations, or related functions.
• Experience working in a client-focused environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of account reconciliations and financial record accuracy.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Professionalism, sound judgment, dependability, and discretion when handling confidential information.
