BIM ENGINEER

We are seeking a motivated and confident BIM Engineer responsible for supporting digital project delivery by producing coordinated electrical models and installation-ready drawings for complex electrical construction projects. This position focuses on modeling execution, coordination support, and constructability integration while working closely with project teams and field leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical BIM models for plan/specification, design-assist, and design-build projects.
• Produce installation-ready drawings including layouts, conduit routing, equipment placement, and basic power distribution systems.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to support coordination efforts and clash detection workflows.
• Assist with constructability reviews by identifying basic installation constraints, access issues, and coordination conflicts.
• Support prefabrication and modular construction initiatives by preparing fabrication-friendly model outputs.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field leadership to align model deliverables with construction schedules.
• Maintain compliance with NEC standards and applicable local codes under senior technical oversight.
• Participate in coordination meetings and internal design reviews.
• Follow established modeling standards, workflows, and quality control procedures.
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Technology, BIM/VDC, or related field — or equivalent electrical construction experience.
• 2–4 years of experience supporting electrical construction projects using BIM or CAD platforms.
• Working knowledge of electrical construction workflows and field coordination processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; Navisworks experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple project deliverables.
