Driver

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as delivery drivers. Your day will begin at the Mt. Juliet FedEx terminal, located at 100 FedEx Way. Your route number will already be receiving packages that you will sort and load into your truck. Once we are allowed to dispatch (usually around 830am) then you may begin delivering your route. Once all packages have been properly delivered, you will bring the truck back to the terminal and your day is complete. Some days are longer than others, depending on volume. Peak season is from Nov-January, which means lots of extra packages, which also means extra money for drivers! On average our drivers are on route around 6 hours. However, drivers are required to be available for an 8 hour window. This is in case we have a truck break down, or a late call out or something out of our control, and we need other drivers to come help split that route even though there route is complete. This is  a rare occurrence, but needs to be known. Our delivery areas are  Mt. Juliet, Lebanon and Watertown. Since we deliver very close to the terminal, returning to the terminal is 20 minute max drive. Drivers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use a hand cart for heavier packages.  This job is extremely physical and requires a DOT physical and drug screen. 

Responsibilities:

• Deliver products to customer locations in a timely manner
• Load and unload vehicle
• Collect on unpaid orders and shipments
• Inspect and monitor delivery vehicle
• Maintain accurate inventory of packages and materials

Qualifications:

• Experience in delivery driving, customer service, or other related fields
• Clean driving record
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Deadline-oriented
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• No felonies or violent misdemeanors in the last 8 years
