Come join Payless Liquors’ 50-year history of retail success. We are currently operating 26 stores across the Indianapolis Metropolitan Area, and we are looking to expand our team. The Retail Sales Associate assists Payless Liquors’ customers by providing an excellent shopping experience and helping maintain the store appearance. Retail Sales Associates are responsible for all aspects of customer service, merchandising and store maintenance. The in-store Payless Liquors Sales Associate plays an essential role in delivering an experience that futures a fast and friendly positive atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to obtain an Alcoholic Beverage Employee Permit and pass SafeServ training
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to move and/or lift up to 30 lbs.without assistance
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Responsible for greeting customers and delivering a highly satisfied customer experience.
- Recommend, select and help locate merchandise based on customer needs.
- Compute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payments.
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
- Perform tasks on the POS system such opening and closing cash registers, counting money and balancing cash drawers.
- Verify customer identification and ensure they meet age requirements.
- Assist with inventory stock.
- Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards.
- Recognize security risks including thefts and know how to handle these situations.
- Embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity and respect.
- Develop knowledge of products.
