Candidates must have the following qualifications to be considered for the position:
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree
- At least eight years of post-graduate professional experience, specifically within complex projects for healthcare, scientific research, academic teaching, and corporate research.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with a range of individuals, including clients, consultants, and other architects
- Experience managing project financials effectively, including project budgeting, scheduling and contract negotiations
- Effective client relationship skills for leading and working with diverse teams of designers
- Ability to support technical design and documentation on projects of various sizes and complexities.
- Ability to assume responsibility for project correspondence, reports, documentation, and general administration
- Dedication to excellence in design and technical facets of the project
- Prior experience on all phases of a project, including Construction Documents and Contract Administration
- Prior experience managing the work of consultants
- Prior experience supervising the work of junior staff
- Ability to work in a collaborative, open environment
- Ability to solve problems creatively
- Architectural registration and LEED accreditation is a plus
