Payette Police Department is a small business in Payette, ID. We are professional and agile!
We're seeking dedicated, hard-working, team-oriented individuals to perform a wide range of law enforcement and crime prevention duties for the safety and protection of life and property in the Payette community. The job entails preserving peace, order, safety, problem resolution and investigative work in preparation for arrests and/or criminal prosecution.
SCHEDULE:
4 ten hour days - we do a shift rotation so everyone shares in day, night, swing shift

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 21 years of age on or before date of written examination
- US citizen and no felony convictions.
- Must have high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to legally possess a firearm
- good moral character
- Idaho Post Certification preferred.
PROCESS:
Prior to a final job offer, the successful candidate will be asked to participate in a drug screen, mental health screening and a truth verification exam. The candidate will also have an extensive background check conducted by investigators of the Police Department. This would include a review of financial/credit history, criminal history and character.
