Job Title: Sous Chef
Reports To: Executive Chef
Position Description: Responsible for assisting Executive Chef with the supervision of the employees, along with preparation, portioning, cooking and presentation of the food. Ensure that the food is prepared in a timely manner. Your attention to detail and exceptional cooking skills will be essential in this role. The position is full-time, with a salary range between $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 depending on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily inspection of walk-in refrigerators and station refrigerators
- Monitor orders for daily preparation
- Select food to be cooked for employee meals
- Responsible for inventory
- Assist with the planning of specials
- Prepares and serves banquets and buffets
- Present new specials to wait staff
- Responsible for preparing and portioning meat and fish items
- Responsible for all dishwasher
- Directly responsible for all kitchen staff
- Assists with the interviewing, selecting and training of employees
- Appraise productivity and assist with the handling of employee discipline
- Prepare food for cookouts
- Assist line cooks during peak service
- Supervises personnel to assure highest productivity and conduct when necessary.
- Performs any and all other duties assigned by supervisor
