Delivery Merchandiser

• Responsible for all delivery activities at the account level, including physical delivery of products, checking in product with store personnel (receiver), stocking, merchandising, rotation, display building and stocking, and receiving payment.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Identify inventory concerns and communicate them with driver and/or driver supervisor.
• Conduct daily safety checks on vehicles being used, including walk-around inspections to identify potential safety concerns, including but not limited to, soft tires, broken or non-functioning lights, oil leaks, etc.
• Ensure Northeast Sales brands are displayed in high visibility locations within accounts in accordance with brand display standards.
• Provide professional and courteous service at all times.
• Learn the name of each customer with 2 weeks of being on route. Address customer by their preferred name (Mr. Doe, Mrs. Doe, first name, nickname, etc.).
• Confirm with driver that all accounts have been serviced to standard at the end of the day before returning to warehouse.
• Abide by company safety guidelines at all times.
• All other necessary duties at the request of delivery management.

A qualified candidate should meet most, if not all, of the following criteria:

• This position requires heavy lifting (occasionally 50 pounds) and rolling of beverage products via hand trucks, pallet jacks, and by hand, often over uncertain terrain (stairs, curbs, sidewalks, gravel, etc.) and in tight spaces (grocery store aisles and back rooms, coolers, convenience stores, etc.). Must also have the ability to roll beer kegs weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
• A general understanding and interest of wine, beer, and spirits.
• A desire to build lasting relationships with buyers and account owners.
• Must be a driven and results oriented professional with excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excel in an unsupervised environment and deliver positive sales results, meet deadlines, work independently but also as a team, when applicable.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Must be on-time to work each morning, and punctual when in the field.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Must have a clean 7-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Pass a physical and drug screening.

Salary : $37,700 - $38,000
