Prairie View is seeking a School-Based Clinician to provide comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents within educational settings. This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about early intervention, collaboration with schools, and supporting students’ emotional and behavioral well-being in a structured, community-based environment.

As a School-Based Clinician, you will deliver evidence-based mental health services directly in school settings, working closely with students, families, and school staff. You’ll assess needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy that supports both clinical outcomes and academic success.
This role requires strong clinical skills, independence in managing a caseload, and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and interdisciplinary teams.
🧠 What You’ll Do

Provide individual and family therapy to children and adolescents using evidence-based practices

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and evaluations

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, counselors, and special education staff

Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and administrative meetings

Communicate regularly with referral sources and community partners

Coordinate with utilization review staff to ensure appropriate service authorization

Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation

Independently manage your schedule to meet client, school, and organizational needs

Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
Required:

Active professional licensure in the State of Kansas

Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Ability to manage a clinical caseload and meet productivity expectations

Flexibility to meet the needs of students, families, and school schedules

Ability to pass required background screenings (KBI, Central Registry, and DCF)
Preferred:

Independent clinical licensure (LSCSW, LCMFT, LPC, PsyD, or PhD)
-
LMSW, LMFT, or LMLP candidates actively working toward independent licensure are encouraged to apply
