JOB TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: These positions will be on-site throughout Northern California from Eureka to Humboldt to Mendocino; no relocation assistance is available for this position.

COMPENSATION: $43 - $47 per hour/Non-Exempt most likely, though it could be Exempt based on contract requirements. 

POSITION SUMMARY: Our Field Auditors will be responsible for assisting our client with conducting audits to assess completed work.

What you will be responsible for: (Disclaimer: The lists below are not all inclusive)

• Audit on-going and completed vegetation management jobs in the field to ensure compliance with the job requirements and approved tree removal and pruning standards. 
• Maintaining good record keeping of each assessment conducted.
• Capable of having educational conversations with property owners to gain access to properties prior to tree crew contractors perform any work on the homeowner’s property. 
• QAVMFA is responsible for obtaining permission for tree removals and recording the data.
• Capable of documenting any concerns or limitations in the system of records to ensure alignment and understanding.
• Supervise individual tree replacement and high production seedling planting activities ensuring proper tree is chosen for site and planting techniques comply with ISA standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:   

You must have the following: (Minimum) 

• Authorized to work in the US and willingness to travel. 
• Certified Arborist through (ISA, ASCA or Certified or Degreed Forester)

• Licensed, Registered and/or Certified in Vegetation Management, Forestry, or Arboriculture
• Two years’ experience working on vegetation management issues for utility rights of way. 
• Strong organizational/time management skills
• Excellent communication both verbal and written with attention to detail.
• Be familiar with vegetation management contractors’ work practices, proper arboricultural techniques and practices, PG&E’s specification or other requirements as directed by PG&E, and government agency requirements related to line clearances and fire prevention.
• Complete Quality profiled training with the applicable timelines as directed by PG&E.
