Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Field Technician at Paxon Energy and Infrastructure Services. The Field Technician will conduct on-site inspections, surveys, and data collection for energy and utility assets, following project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include documenting field conditions, capturing photos and measurements, updating digital records, and reporting any issues that may affect asset integrity or reliability. The role will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and inspection teams to support construction, maintenance, and integrity management activities. The Field Technician will also use mobile or cloud-based tools to submit reports, track work progress, and communicate with internal and client stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Field operations experience in energy, utilities, construction, or related infrastructure environments.
- Proficiency with basic field instruments, measurement tools, and digital data collection (e.g., tablets, mobile apps, GIS or mapping tools).
- Strong documentation, report writing, and observational skills to accurately record field conditions and findings.
- Solid understanding of safety practices, environmental considerations, and applicable regulations for field work.
- Ability to work independently in remote settings, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing site conditions.
- Clear, professional communication skills for collaborating with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly to field locations as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering technology, construction, utilities) preferred.
- Experience with integrity management, inspection services, or vegetation management in energy or utility sectors is a plus.
