Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our finance team, you’ll take ownership of a wide range of accounting responsibilities including:
- Lead all accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, revenue recognition and general ledger
- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, ASC-606 and regulatory requirements
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Oversee external audits and liaise with auditors and the CFO
- Partner with leadership to provide actionable financial insights
- Drive process improvements to streamline reporting and controls
- Support financial aspects of contracts, grants, and vendor agreements
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Conduct financial analysis to guide strategic projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- CPA required
- 10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or leadership role
- Industry background in Healthcare, SaaS/technology strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP , ASC-606 and compliance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Maxio,..etc
- Experience with multi-currency and multi subsidiary consolidations
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across teams
- Must live locally and be able to reliably commute to our MA office on a hybrid basis
- Prior experience working in a startup or scaling company
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and AI tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and proactive, solution-oriented approach
