We’re looking for an in-house Corporate Counsel with a strong background in contract review, revision, and negotiation. This role will serve as a key legal partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring that all vendor agreements and business contracts align with organizational objectives while minimizing risk. The ideal candidate brings a practical, business-oriented mindset and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This is an onsite role in our Jacksonville office working Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm.
What You’ll Be Doing
Contracts & Commercial Agreements:
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a high volume of vendor, supplier, and service agreements
- Provide clear, risk-based legal guidance on contract terms, obligations, and exposure
- Partner with internal teams (procurement, finance, operations, etc.) to support contract lifecycle management
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines
- Ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and applicable laws across all agreements
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks while balancing business objectives
Legal Advisory & Compliance:
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to cross-functional teams on a wide range of legal matters
- Ensure company compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Assist with corporate governance matters, policies, and internal controls
- Support risk management initiatives and provide proactive legal recommendations
Operational & Strategic Support:
- Collaborate with leadership on business initiatives requiring legal input
- Assist in managing external counsel when necessary
- Support dispute resolution efforts, including pre-litigation matters related to contracts
- Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes and efficiencies
What You’ll Need
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 4 years of experience practicing law in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Demonstrated experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial/vendor contracts
- Strong understanding of contract law and risk management principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
