They also help prepare reports for the following day shift (like guest check-out final statements) and help guest with any inquiries or checking in the nighttime. As our Night Auditor, here is an example of what your specific responsibilities would be.ResponsibilitiesProvide professional and courteous guest service at all timesAnswer telephone calls according to POP*Ensure every guest receive a TripAdvisor card and solicit for a glowing review according to POPComplete the 10-5 rule with everyone that enters the hotel according to POPRegister and assign rooms to guestsAnswer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directionCheck the maintenance list to in ensure rooms that are rent-ready are removed from the list every shiftKeep records of room availability and guests’ accountsMaintain wake-up call service dailyRun nightly reports ensuring daily financials balance according to property’s POPPost charges correctly to guest folios as neededPromote any current hotel and franchise marketing programsMaintain workspace and storage areas to be neat and cleanComplete daily cash deposit logComplete and sign off on the daily checklist (before clocking out at shift's end)Serve as Manager on DutyRespond to and assists guests in the event of an emergencyPrepare for, attends, and contributes to the weekly department meetingsDeal with all problems with a high degree of professionalism, courtesy and consideration*POP = Pax Operating ProcedureIt may seem simple, but the Night Auditor is a crucial part of a hotel's operational success.
