- Managing appointments.
- Bathing and cleaning pet hair by washing, shampooing, and conditioning.
- Grooming pets through various techniques such as shaving, trimming, and styling pet hair according to the owner’s preferences.
- Maintaining overall pet hygiene by clipping nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears.
- Maintaining a clean workstation; routinely cleaning, sweeping, mopping and sanitizing work area and equipment as needed and at the end of each shift.
- Communicating with owners; informing them of grooming experience, providing recommendations for future grooming sessions, and advising owners on at-home care tips and best practices for their pets.
- Adhering to all pet and human safety protocols at all times.
- Professionally and positively representing Pawville by conducting yourself in a manner that is in the best interest of Pawville, customers, and team members.

Qualifications:
- Ability to comfortably handle and groom dogs of varying sizes, weights, breeds, and temperaments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Flexibility and reliability to work scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Education or certificate from grooming training program or academy preferred.
- Proficiency with using office equipment (such as phones, computers, printers) preferred.
- Strong proficiency in various dog grooming techniques and styling; prior grooming experience required.
- Stand and/or walk for up to 6 hours without a break.
- Kneel, bend, squat, and twist their body.
- Repetitive hand and arm movement; reach, grab, pull, and push objects.
- Perform duties in an environment with loud sounds from animals and smells from pet waste and cleaning chemicals.
- Perform work both indoors and outdoors; experiencing temperature changes according to season, building heating and cooling, and weather.
- Lift up to 50lbs with or without assistance.
