Duties
- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each pet’s breed and individual needs
- Safely handle animals of various sizes and temperaments using proper restraint techniques
- Assess each pet’s condition to identify any health concerns or skin issues, referring to veterinary professionals when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming options and aftercare instructions
Skills
- Proven experience in pet grooming
- Strong knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal restraint methods
- Ability to handle animals safely while maintaining a calm and positive environment
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure pet owners feel confident and satisfied with services provided
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing detailed grooming tasks
- Knowledge of animal handling of dogs and cats.
