Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Grooming Assistant/Dog Caretaker Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong desire to support our grooming services. As a Grooming Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of pets while assisting groomer in providing high-quality groom. You will also be a part of daily care for dogs, enriching and playing with our guest.
Responsibilities
- Assist groomers in bathing, drying, and brushing out.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including equipment and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming services.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to the groomer or management.
- Support with heavy lifting of larger animals as needed.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to create a safe environment for both pets and staff.

Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Skills in dog handling are advantageous.
- A background in pet care or kennel work is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting with pet owners effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle various breeds of dogs with confidence.
