Duties
- Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, styling, and pet coat styling to meet client specifications and breed standards
- Handle dogs safely and humanely using animal restraint techniques and proper handling skills
- Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and other grooming procedures with attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide recommendations for pet care and maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized according to health standards
- Assist with animal handling during grooming appointments, ensuring comfort and safety for each pet
- Support kennel cleaning, pet sitting, and general animal care duties as needed to promote overall well-being of the animals in our care
- Other staff duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to groom up to 6 dogs in a day
- 2 Years of dog grooming experience
- Strong dog handling skills and familiarity with animal restraint techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary experience or veterinary assistant skills is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle larger dogs or equipment safely
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members
- Experience with animal handling across different species such as equine or companion animals is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals
- Be a drama free person
