Paws 4 Liberty is looking for a motivated, professional, and team-oriented trainer to assist in the training of service dogs for veterans and disabled individuals.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about dog training, eager to continue learning, and able to work in a structured, supportive team environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the training and handling of service dogs and demo dogs
- Work dogs in public settings and training environments
- Maintain training logs and basic records
- Assist with kennel care, setup, cleaning, and daily dog care
- Communicate professionally with staff, veterans, and clients
- Follow organization training standards and safety procedures
- Continue learning and developing training skills through mentorship and hands-on experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of dog training experience preferred
- Experience with obedience training and dog handling
- Comfortable working with a balanced and behaviorally informed training approach
- Physically capable of working with dogs indoors and outdoors
- Organized, reliable, and able to work well with a team
- Valid driver’s license
- Background check required
- Must be experienced with Balanced training methods and techniques, NO POSITIVE ONLY TRAINERS!
Preferred Qualifications
- AKC CGC Evaluator certification
- Experience with service dogs, working dogs, or behavior cases
- Interest in veteran advocacy or trauma-informed work
- Professional dog training certifications or affiliations
