Since 1979, Paws With A Cause (PAWS) has been transforming lives and strengthening communities through partnerships with custom-trained working dogs. Whether its assistance dogs supporting people with disabilities or facility dogs providing comfort and joy for a community, PAWS dogs empower individuals and inspire connection. PAWS provides services in over 20 states and has placed more than 3,500 assistance and facility dogs throughout the country.

Paws With A Cause is currently looking for volunteers to raise our future Assistance Dogs in the Saginaw area. A puppy is placed in your home at 9 weeks of age and returns to PAWS for its formal Assistance Dog training at 14 months of age. No previous training experience is necessary. Just a willingess and motivation to learn. PAWS provides bi-monthly training classes for our Puppy Raisers and we are able to provide routine Veterinary care for the puppy at no charge to the Raiser at our National Headquarters in Wayland, MI.
