Pet Care Professional- Part Time- Santa Rosa Beach, FL- Weekend Availability Required

Paws Sitting Service is a professional, employee-based in-home pet care company serving Santa Rosa Beach and the surrounding area. We have been caring for pets in our community for nearly 20 years, and our mission is simple: provide dependable, professional care that gives pet parents peace of mind.

We are looking for a reliable, responsible, mature adult who takes pride in doing things the right way and wants to become part of a professional pet-care team.

What You'll Do

As a Paws Sitting Service Pet Care Professional, you'll provide in-home care for dogs, cats, and other household pets while their owners are away.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing loving companionship and enrichment
• Dog walking and potty breaks
• Feeding and providing fresh water
• Cleaning litter boxes and pet areas
• Following detailed feeding, medication, and care instructions
• Safely handling dogs of all sizes
• Caring for cats and other household pets
• Taking photos and completing detailed visit reports after each visit
• Communicating professionally with clients and the Paws team
• Recognizing and appropriately responding to potential emergencies
• Respecting clients' homes, privacy, and property
• Following all company safety and pet-care procedures

You will work independently in clients' homes, so reliability and good judgment are extremely important.

What We're Looking For

You don't need years of professional pet-sitting experience. We can teach you our systems and procedures.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Dependable and punctual
• Responsible and trustworthy
• Comfortable working independently
• Able to drive long distances (our service area is from Inlet Beach to Miramar Beach)
• Detail-oriented and able to follow written instructions
• Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments
• Comfortable entering clients' homes
• Able to communicate clearly
• Physically able to walk, bend, kneel, lift pet supplies, and safely handle pets
• Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile apps
• Willing to learn and accept feedback
• Passionate about providing excellent care-not just "playing with animals"

Professional pet-care experience is a plus, but not required.

Requirements

• Must be 19 years of age or older
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have a valid driver's license and required auto insurance
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be available for weekend visits
• Must be able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays based on client demand
• Must be comfortable working independently in clients' homes
• Must have reliable access to a smartphone
• Must be able to commit to scheduled visits once accepted

Weekend Availability Is Required

Our busiest times are weekends and holidays.
