Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Veterinarian to lead and perform high-volume spay and neuter surgeries. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and is passionate about community impact and animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume spay and neuter surgeries on dogs and cats
- Ensure safe anesthesia administration and patient monitoring
- Conduct pre-operative exams and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate medical records and surgical logs
- Oversee and collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff
- Uphold high standards of sanitation, safety, and humane treatment
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
- Active and valid Texas veterinary license (required)
- Current DEA license (required)
- Experience with high-volume spay/neuter surgeries preferred
- Strong surgical skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to animal welfare and shelter medicine
