Paws & Play Dog Resort & Training Center is looking for a teammate to join our group of self-proclaimed dog nerds to intensely participate in all things dog!
We are a top-rated upscale dog resort and boarding facility serving families throughout the community. Our 26,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility caters to a dog’s every need—from a fun-filled vacation to customized training programs or a day at the spa. From the moment our guests arrive, we begin creating a memorable experience for the entire family. Because we are a locally crafted family business, we take the time to certify and specially train our team to ensure each guest’s stay is fun and comfortable.
We are looking to add a professional dog trainer to our dog training team. Paws & Play has a dedicated and experienced team of trainers that are committed to providing the best, most up-to-date training for our clients. We believe that every dog is different and deserves its own unique training style. Our trainers are an integral part of our team, and while training is at the heart of everything we do, our ideal candidate would be someone looking to be part of something more than a training team. We are able to provide the best possible experience for our clients by ensuring our teams work cohesively and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities would include:
- Assist other trainers with training dogs through our training programs per Paws & Play program standards
- Customer communication via phone and email
- Working within the team of trainers to produce the best possible training results
- Participating in the training of the Shelter dogs and the Pets Healing Vets dogs
- Taking dogs on outings during their training
- Attending community outreach events
- Maintain continuing education for relevant certificates.
Qualifications include:
- Self-motivated
- Min. of 1-year professional training experience
- CPDT-KA (or relevant qualification) or willingness to earn CPDT-KA or other qualified training certifications
- Excellent communication/customer service skills
- Works well with a team.
- 18 years of age
- Flexible schedule
- Reliable transportation and a driver’s license
- No breed discrimination
- Sales experience
- Positive attitude
- Base understanding of canine behaviors and protocols
