Duties
- Take dogs on daily walks, ensuring proper exercise and mental stimulation tailored to each pet’s needs
- Provide in-home pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and overnight care when owners are away
- Manage animal restraint safely during walks to ensure pet and handler safety
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ behavior, health concerns, or special requirements
- Handle various animals including dogs, cats, and small pets with patience and confidence
- Understand basic animal health needs and recognizing signs of distress or illness
Experience
- Prior dog handling experience with different breeds and temperaments preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior management is highly valued
- Veterinary technician or assistant experience that involves animal care or medical procedures is a plus
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions to ensure pet safety during walks or outdoor activities
- Customer service skills to build trustful relationships with pet owners and address their concerns professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for supplies or equipment related to pet care
- Familiarity with kennel operations, pet grooming, animal restraint techniques, and overnight in-home care practices

Pay: $23.60 - $28.42 per hour
