What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groomer/Pet Stylist position at Paws & Effect Holistic?
We are a busy downtown shop in Downtown Eustis looking for a qualified dog and groomer. Cat grooming experience is a plus! Full Time or Part-Time.
We are looking for an experienced dog groomer with the following:
We require at least one year experience as a dog groomer AND/OR groom school.
* We do more than shave downs.
* Breed Standard trim knowledge of the most popular breeds (can train)
* Scissoring skills
* Quality over quantity (we do not require 10 dogs per day)
* Team Player
* People skills, ability to chat with client owners
* Calm manner with the dogs
We are open Monday-Saturday.
Job does include Tips, Vacation/Sick Days for full time.
We are always improving on ourselves so a self motivated individual is essential. Ability to take direction and feedback is a must.
You will be a W2 employee, not contracted or independent. There is no competition for dogs. Salary is very competitive. Commission based.

Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing touches tailored to each pet’s breed, size, and individual needs
- Handle animals safely and comfortably using proper restraint techniques to ensure their safety and reduce stress during grooming procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming preferences, health concerns, and aftercare instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming area by sanitizing tools, cages, and workstations regularly
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming or pet styling; certification from a recognized grooming program is a plus
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs of various sizes and temperaments effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy pets or equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
