Pawprints on the Go is a growing pet care company looking for a dependable and caring animal lover to join our team!

We treat every pet in our care like they’re our own, but Pawprints is about more than just great pet care. We care about the people behind the pets too. Our clients trust us with their animals, their homes and a very important part of their lives, and we take that seriously.

We’re looking for someone who shares that mindset and wants to become someone our clients and their pets can genuinely know and trust.

What This Position Looks Like

This is a flexible/as-needed position helping with client requests and coverage as they come in. Visits may be in the mornings, afternoons, evenings or on weekends, so flexibility is important.

Every day can look a little different. Some days may be slower with only a few visits, while others can be fast-paced with several clients throughout the day.

As you gain experience and grow with Pawprints, there will be opportunities to build your own consistent Monday–Friday route. You can also earn more by taking on extra walks, weekend visits and overnights.

Overnight pet sitting is not required, but availability is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Provide dog walks and in-home pet visits
• Provide meals, fresh water, potty breaks and playtime
• Follow each pet’s individual routine and care instructions
• Send clients photos and updates after visits
• Pay attention to changes in a pet’s behavior or health
• Treat clients’ homes with care and respect
• Communicate clearly with clients and the Pawprints team

Who We’re Looking For

More than anything, we need someone we can trust and depend on. You’ll often be working independently and entering clients’ homes while they’re away, so responsibility, good judgment and communication are extremely important.

You’ll need to:

• Genuinely love animals
• Be dependable and follow through on commitments
• Have strong communication skills
• Be comfortable working independently
• Be comfortable with dogs of different sizes and personalities
• Have a reliable vehicle
• Have a smartphone with reliable service
• Be comfortable driving between clients
• Pass a background check
• Be interested in staying with Pawprints long-term

Our clients and their pets build real relationships with their caregivers, which is why we’re looking for someone who wants to stick around and grow with us.

As Pawprints grows, I want the people who work with us to grow too. That could mean building your own regular route, taking on more clients, helping train new walkers or eventually taking on more responsibility within the company.

Pawprints is a growing small business, and I want this to be a place where people are trusted to work independently, feel valued and have the opportunity to thrive.

Schedule

Visits are based on client requests and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Some days and weeks will naturally be busier than others.

There is room to grow into a more consistent schedule over time for someone who would like to take on more.

Pay

This is a per-visit position, so earnings vary based on client requests, your availability and the services you choose to take on.

There are additional opportunities to earn more through extra walks, weekend visits and overnight pet sitting.

100% of client tips go directly to you.

Service Area

We currently serve Carol Stream, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Lombard, Glendale Heights, Winfield and Bloomingdale, with our service area continuing to expand.

Because this position involves traveling between clients, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable driving throughout our current and growing service area.
