Pawnee is hiring substitutes NOW & for next school year 2023-24! Both elementary and JH/HS positions are available!
Duties
Substitute/Guest Teachers must have effective oral communication and interpersonal skills, and the willingness to make positive contributions in a team atmosphere. S/he must establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and students. Interested candidates will assist established teacher in providing a positive, safe, and academically challenging learning environment for students.
Qualifications
Pawnee ELEMENTARY & JH/HS School are currently hiring substitutes for the 2023/24 school year. There are different pathways for obtaining a substitute license. Please check with the Regional Office of Education #51 to register.
Salary/Benefits
For the 2023-2024 school year the Substitute pay rate is $120.00 per day.

Pawnee is located 3 miles from I-55, just minutes south of Springfield, and directly west of Taylorville about 15 minutes. The district boasts an excellent school system with a positive learning environment that is fully supported by the Pawnee community.
