What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Content Creator position at Pawford?
Social Media Content Creator (DTC Pet Brand – UGC Performance Focus)
Type: Part-Time Contract (Remote)
About Pawford
We’re a fast-growing, dog supplement brand focused on helping dogs live healthier, happier lives through high-quality, effective products.
We’re building a content engine that drives real growth—not just posts.
About the Role
This is not a traditional social media manager role.
We’re looking for a content-first creator who can consistently produce engaging, high-volume content and contribute ideas based on what’s working.
Your primary responsibility: Create content that captures attention, builds trust, and drives engagement
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Create 5–10 short-form videos per week (TikTok, Instagram Reels, Meta)
- Film and edit content (UGC-style, raw, authentic—not overly polished)
- Develop hooks, angles, and storytelling ideas for content
- Appear on camera when needed (or direct content using your dog/others)
- Repurpose UGC and influencer content into multiple variations across social and paid channels
- Collaborate on repurposing content into email ideas or campaigns
- Share 1–2 content ideas weekly that could also be adapted into email campaigns
- Post and schedule content across platforms
- Monitor comments and engage with the audience
- Identify and reach out to micro-influencers and UGC creators for collaborations
- Coordinate influencer deliverables and ensure timely content submission
- Stay on top of trends and contribute simple, testable content ideas each week
- Track performance (views, engagement, saves) and iterate quickly
What Success Looks Like
- Consistent output of high-quality content every week
- Increasing engagement (views, saves, shares, comments)
- Strong ability to test multiple content angles and improve over time
- Steady flow of UGC and influencer content coming in
- Bringing 2–3 relevant content ideas weekly based on trends or observations
- Maintain a rolling 4-week content calendar, updated weekly based on performance and new ideas
Who This Is For
- You’ve created content that has actually performed (not just posted)
- You understand hooks, storytelling, and what makes people stop scrolling
- You can move fast and produce content consistently
- You’re comfortable being on camera or directing content
- You’re proactive and bring ideas—not just execution
- You are highly organized and follow through on deliverables
Startup Mindset (Important)
We are an early-stage brand, and priorities can shift quickly. This role requires someone who is:
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Able to adapt and pivot quickly based on feedback and performance
- Willing to take initiative and problem-solve without constant direction
- Focused on outcomes, not just tasks
Bonus Points
- Experience with DTC, pet brands, or supplements
- Experience creating UGC-style ads
- You own a dog and enjoy creating pet-related content
Important
This is an execution-focused role. Overall content direction and strategy will be provided. We’re looking for someone who can execute, test, and improve consistently—not someone to figure everything out from scratch.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Direct impact on a fast-growing brand
- Creative freedom within a performance-driven environment
- Opportunity to grow into a larger role as the brand scales
