Title: Maintenance Worker

Reports To: Director of Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor
Job Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to pass physical including drug test
- Position requires employee to obtain and maintain a pesticide applications license within six (6) months of appointment
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, length, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to read measuring devices necessary in the performance of the job
- Must be able to lift 75lbs
Job Description:
- Assists in maintaining the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full education use of it may always be used
- Performs various maintenance tasks such as minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry repair
- Performs general labor on facilities including groundskeeping, marking of athletic fields, operates and repairs underground sprinkler systems, cleans and conducts minor field repairs, moving equipment, operating power equipment, truck driving, snow removal, salting, mowing/trimming lawns, etc.
- May be required to be on 24-hour call
- Maintains all safety and code requirements of the State, local and Board of Education guidelines
- Perform maintenance in an efficient and effective manner without direct supervision
- Exhibit positive attitude and have excellent rapport with the public, staff, and students
- Reviews email communications regularly and respond as needed
- Exhibit regular and reliable attendance
- Follow all District policies
- Other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
Salary/Benefits: $18.78/hour commensurate with experience commensurate with experience per the PPEPSA Agreement
