Dog Daycare Attendant – Paw Avenue
Paw Avenue is seeking dependable, energetic, and hardworking individuals to join our team as Dog Daycare Attendants. This is a hands-on, active role working directly with dogs in a structured daycare and boarding environment.
At Paw Avenue, our team does more than supervise — we actively engage, interact, and play with the dogs to provide a safe, structured, and enriching experience.
Position Details:
- Starting pay: $11.00/hour
- Paid training provided

Responsibilities:
- Actively supervise and engage with dogs in group play settings
- Monitor dog behavior and ensure safe, appropriate interactions
- Move dogs safely between play areas and kennels
- Feed dogs according to instructions
- Perform routine and detailed cleaning throughout the shift, including:
- Kennels
- Play areas
- Common areas
- Grooming spaces
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment at all times
- Assist with bathing, brushing, and nail clipping
- Support daily operations and communicate with team members
- Follow all safety, cleaning, and animal care protocols
Work Expectations:
- This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position
- A significant portion of this role involves cleaning and maintaining facility standards
- Employees are expected to remain active and productive throughout their shift
- There is no downtime for studying or personal activities
- Cell phone use is not permitted during working hours except for emergencies or designated breaks
- Team members are expected to actively interact with and engage the dogs — not just observe
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- This is not a seasonal or student position
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must pass a drug test
- Must obtain Pet CPR/First Aid certification
- Must be able to respond appropriately in emergency situations
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Schedule:
Shifts available between 6:30 AM – 11:00 PM:
- 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
