Animal Care Technician (at Dog Training Facility)

Would you like to get exposure to the dog training industry? Are you available to work weekends? Are you available to work closing shifts that end at 8pm? (One opening shift, too.)

Pavlov has two open positions - one seasonal position from Spring to Summer - and one long-term. This position includes animal care (feeding, cleaning, tending to the facility), social media management, managing play groups, clerical work, and any and all duties associated with working in a board-and-train facility. You'll receive the opportunity to build relationships within the dog training business.

This position reports to the Dog Training Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

* Available to work weekends, and available for closing and opening shifts from 6:30am-3pm and 11:30pm-8pm.

* Professional presentation. (This is regarding verbal, written, and dress.) Dress code includes natural hair color, no facial jewelry, and minimal visible tattoos.

* Ability to work independently.

* Ability to lift sixty pounds, walk an average of 2.5 miles a shift, and be physically agile. This is a very physical job.

* Bonus: skill set with a prong collar or electronic collar is preferred, but not required. (Applicants must be willing to learn both tools.)

* No experience in dog training required.

COMPENSATION

Starting Pay: $20 an hour. Full-time positions include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement and 3% matching retirement, and paid time off.
