Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our corporate team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for P&L and balance sheet accounting for assigned areas to include journal entries, account reconciliations, account analysis, and schedules. Responsible for job costing, calculating and recording percent of completion (POC)
- Research and investigate financial variances for monthly fluctuation analysis (P&L and balance sheet); resolve in an expeditious manner
- Maintain corporate add backs schedule for all BUs to ensure we have support for all bridge items to Adjusted EBITDA. Assist with month end intercompany account reconciliation
- Prepare business process documentation for core activities. Identify, make recommendations and implement process improvements
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related
- 7 years’ experience in accounting
- Experience in job costing
- Experienced in complex accounting matters and in applying US GAAP
- Experience in the application of accrual accounting for hard month-end close cut-off
- Demonstrates strong Excel skills and analytic thinking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence all levels within an organization
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives
- Ability to identify and implement process optimization strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance or related
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and other support applications
- Ability and desire to learn new skills
Salary is $80-120K
