Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Fire Service Technician to join our security business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performing service calls on new and existing systems
- Service, Program, Test, and Inspect Fire Alarm Systems.
- Ensure equipment is functional and operational.
- Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair.
- Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
- Provide technical support to Customers including, remote phone diagnosis, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years of technical school, electronics training or equivalent military training
- 2 years working in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used on a daily basis
- 2 years working networking of computers, operating MS Office, and Windows XP, (or equivalent).
- Should have knowledge of the products that Pavion uses.
- Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
- Ability to read blue prints and schematics
- Must be familiar with analog/digital multi-meter
- Ability to wire and troubleshoot relay logic
- Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Ability to finish any type of projects
- Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
- Ability to write correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Strong customer communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
- Ability to function as an effective team member
- Ability to adapt as schedules change
- DMP,Bosch experience preferred
- EST knowledge a plus
- 2 Years of Technical school, electronics training or equivalent military training
