Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Central Station Operator to join our fire business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Answer burglar and fire alarm signals received via computer
- Effectively dispatch emergency alarms
- Coordinate activities with police and fire departments during alarms
- Place alarms in and out of test mode while technicians are servicing alarms
- Notify customers of alarm, trouble and supervisory signals on subscribers’ premises
- Monitoring of all types of alarm signals including but not limited to surveillance videos
- Data entry
- Effectively communicate with customers
- Multitask and manage priorities
- Contact supervisor by telephone to report irregularities and obtain further instructions
Basic Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Customer Service Experience
- Ability to handle multi phone lines and high volume of incoming calls
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work both Saturday and Sundays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a central station operator
- Ability to use judgement and decision making skills to evaluate situations
- Ability work under stressful situations
- Actively listen and communicate effectively through clear speech and hearing
Salary: $20-$25.00 an hour
