As Technical Sales Specialist / Field Application Scientist – Cellular Immunotherapy & Gene Editing, you will support territory growth by driving a 10 % year-over-year revenue increase across your assigned accounts. You’ll qualify and manage 30 active research groups in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont, partnering with senior sales and applications teams to showcase our client’s superior technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute territory business plans, managing 30 strategic accounts to achieve quarterly sales targets
- Identify and qualify new leads in cellular immunotherapy and gene-editing workflows, booking 50 technical demos per year
- Deliver detailed presentations and hands-on demos of CAR-T assay platforms, CRISPR/Cas workflows and viral-vector protocols
- Collaborate with marketing, product development and technical support to tailor regional campaigns
- Conduct 1–2 days per week of on-site customer engagements, workshops and scientific conferences
- Maintain Salesforce CRM data, pipeline forecasting and territory analytics with < 15 % variance
- Represent the company at key industry events, trade shows and user-group meetings
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or related life-science field
- 2 years of sales or applications support experience in cellular immunotherapy or gene-editing reagents/instruments
- Hands-on expertise with CAR-T cell assays, CRISPR/Cas gene-editing workflows and biophysical characterization techniques
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales or activity metrics in a research-driven environment
- Strong communication and consultative selling skills
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or PhD in life sciences, business or related discipline
- Prior role as Field Application Scientist or Technical Sales Specialist in cellular-therapy markets
- Proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms
