SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Our Nurses play a pivotal role in our studio success and are a direct line of support to our customers. Our Nurses are resident experts in our IV program and are well versed in the benefits all our drips offer. Our Nurses provide a high level of care to each customer they see and ensure each visit exceeds the customers expectation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Obtain and document patient’s medical history at the start of care and ongoing, particularly as related to the diagnosis being treated with the prescribed infusion therapy
● Assess patient appropriateness for home infusion therapy
● Administer IV therapy, IM injections
● Continuously assess and document clients' vital signs and overall well-being before and during medical and wellness treatments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
● Be prepared to respond to any medical emergencies by following established protocols and coordinating with emergency services as necessary.
● Provide comprehensive education to clients on wellness services, including IV therapy and recovery treatments. Ensure clients understand the benefits and risks, as well as post-treatment care.
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Reports to: General Manager
● Communicate observations of patient response to therapy and overall physical assessment/condition with members of the care team in a timely manner, which may include the nursing supervisor, dispensing pharmacist, and licensed prescriber, among others
● Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of infusion therapies, utilizing Pause policies, procedures and protocols in addition to all available training resources to ensure understanding of each therapy before initiating treatment
● Ensure the availability and proper storage of medical supplies and wellness products, including IV solutions, injectables, and other necessary equipment.
● Comply with all State and Federal regulations and laws, including employee health and safety protections mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), patient privacy and data security required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as all home infusion standards of practice
● Complete all training required upon hire and annually per policy, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
● Lead and participate in training sessions for staff to improve their knowledge of medical services and wellness offerings, ensuring a high standard of care across the team.
● Work closely with the wellness team to provide integrated care, promoting a holistic approach to client wellness.
● Serve as a professional representative of Pause when meeting with and/or providing education to external customers, payers and referral sources
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
● Must hold a current and valid RN license in the state of Georgia.
● Minimum of 1 year of experience administering IV therapy and intramuscular (IM)injections, with proficiency developed through work as an RN in a clinical care setting such as a medical-surgical unit, emergency department, intensive care unit, or post-anesthesia care unit.
● Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
● Ability to communicate effectively with clients and the wellness team. Must be able to clearly explain treatments and provide aftercare instructions.
● Ability to deliver exceptional customer service, with an emphasis on building rapport with clients and providing a positive wellness experience.
● Ability to assess client health histories, current conditions, and overall wellness to create personalized care plans in collaboration with the team.
● Familiarity with and adherence to HIPAA and OSHA regulations, as well as state and federal healthcare laws.
● Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems and able to document patient care accurately and efficiently.
● Available to work morning evening shifts and weekends (rotation-based)
Preferred Requirements:
● Eager to learn and grow, receptive to feedback, and willing to be coached.
● Experience in a wellness or outpatient setting is highly desirable.
● Strong understanding of various infusion therapies, including the ability to assess patients for appropriate treatments and monitor responses.
● Ability to manage multiple clients and treatments simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of care and attention to detail.
● Advanced certifications (e.g., Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)) are a plus but not mandatory.
