What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powder Coat - Sprayer Associate position at Paumac Tubing Llc?
The Powder Coat Sprayer position is responsible for applying coating to a metal surface, assuring even and consistent film to provide quality to the customer. Communicate with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.
Essential Functions:
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Set up powder coat and related equipment to exact specifications and prepare equipment for production
Prepares product to be coated by using a 5-stage wash system Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) principles and practices of powder coating application
Operate painting systems including a manual and automatic spray guns, hoppers and booth collection system
Spray products with paint or coating solutions
Adjust nozzles on the spray guns to obtain the proper dispersion of the spray
Hold or position the guns to dire t the spray onto the product
Check the flow and viscosity of the paint or solution
Operate automated painting systems
Position automatic spray guns, set nozzles, and synchronize action of guns with speed of conveyor carrying products.
Inspect products to ensure no contamination, defects, masking, and or any incomplete coating coverage is present and ensure all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent
Rework, repair and replace damaged products
Make necessary adjustments to the painting process to ensure quality products are produced at all times
Package and protect parts for shipment by loading and unloading products onto specified packing containers
Observe machine gauges and equipment to maintain equipment in good operating condition by completing daily preventative maintenance to comply with safety requirements
Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
Communicate with other departments as necessary
Keep work areas clean and organized
Adhere to all company rules and policies
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Please note this position will at times not spray. During those times this individual will serve as a line tender.
Salary : $20 - $28
