Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Dallas, GA, for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician. The technician will manage and maintain geographic and geospatial data, create detailed maps, and provide analytical insights to support county operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing data management, ensuring geospatial data accuracy, and collaborating with various departments to fulfill GIS-related needs. The technician will also contribute to the development of new GIS tools and solutions for streamlined workflow.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and working with geospatial data
- Strong Analytical Skills for interpreting and processing geospatial information
- Experience in Data Management and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of datasets
- Ability to create, design, and update Maps for various projects and purposes
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with multiple departments
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, or a related field is preferred
- Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS preferred
