What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumbing Mechanic position at Paul Yonkers Plumbing & Heating?
We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Mechanic to join our team! .
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot and repair pipe and pipeline systems
- Review blueprints and building codes to determine optimal work procedures
- Repair/replace all basic plumbing items like toilets, sinks, showerbodies, etc.
- Rough in and install plumbing systems for a new house
- Repair heating systems (gas hot water/steam boilers)
- Install boiler systems for gas or oil
- Repair water mains
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in plumbing, maintenance, or other related field
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred but not required
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Knowledge in rough plumbing OR boiler work. You do not need to know both, but being an expert in one is required
- Must have clean driver's license
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years experience. We have been established for over 40 years, have a new fleet of trucks, and a shop fully stocked with materials. You speak with the owner on a daily basis, and we work as a TEAM.
Medical benefits are offered after 6 months of employment. Vacation days are offered after 1 full year.

Overtime and prevailing wage rates are given when applicable.
