Key Responsibilities
- Partner with clients, PM’s, and internal departments to ensure successful jobs (on-time / at quote).
- Manage budgets, material requirements, resource allocation, and scheduling for millwright operations.
- Collaborate with sales in prospecting, estimating, quoting, planning, scheduling and invoicing of jobs.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, safety, and service quality.
- Oversee the planning and execution of machinery installation, alignment, and maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all millwright activities.
- Lead and manage millwright teams, supervisors, and support staff.
- Train and mentor millwright personnel to build high-performing teams.
- Evaluate equipment and tooling needs and recommend upgrades or replacements.
Qualifications
- Illinois Class D License
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in millwright work, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Journeyman Millwright certification or equivalent technical training preferred
- Expert knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.
- Proven ability to manage teams and complex projects in a fast-paced competing deadline environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
