Job Description:

Non Ferrous Warehouse Lead to oversee the daily operations of our non-ferrous warehouse. Will be responsible for buying, sorting, operating scales, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely and accurate shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The Non Ferrous Warehouse Lead must be educated with all non-ferrous materials to be able to upgrade after purchase for most profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Supervise and lead a team of warehouse personnel

· Buying, weighing, sorting, baling Non-ferrous Metals

· Plan and assign daily work tasks to team members

· Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed in a timely and accurate manner

· Maintain accurate inventory records, including cycle counting and physical inventory

· Ensure the proper handling, storage, and transportation of non-ferrous metals, including sorting and identification of different types of non-ferrous metals

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment

· Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and machinery

· Train new hires and conduct regular safety training for all warehouse personnel

· Maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors, responding to inquiries and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner

· Implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to increase efficiency and profitability

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Must have valid drivers license

· Previous fork lift experience preferred

· Ability to work in a physically demanding environment that involves standing, or walking for extended periods.

· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Experience working in a salvage yard or similar environment is an asset but not required.

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

· Excellent communication, problem solving and decision making skills

Physical Demands:

· Ability to work in outdoor environments and all weather conditions.

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
