Job Summary
We are seeking a Furniture Delivery Driver. This role requires that you deliver and install furniture at each of the stops. There is a two person team but this is a physcial labor position that requires you to be in and out of the elements at each stop. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to delivery schedules, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks.
THIS IS A 1099 POSITION NOT HOURLY. BACKGROUND CHECK, DRIVING HISTORY, AND DRUG SCREEN REQUIRED.
Duties
- Operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles for deliveries and pickups.
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques.
- Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with traffic regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery locations.
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents. Photos are required of each item in the home.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with box trucks.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous warehouse experience is desirable, including familiarity with loading/unloading procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks; physical stamina is essential for this role.
