Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Safety Director to lead our organization's safety and health initiatives across all construction projects. Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and construction management software systems.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes related to risk management, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate safety training sessions for staff and contractors to enhance awareness of occupational health issues and safe work practices.
- Monitor construction site activities to ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) standards, and construction management procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers & superintendents to incorporate safety considerations into project planning, scheduling, and execution phases.
- Lead company Safety Committee and initiatives
- General Construction and Sitework trades are primary focus
Experience
- Proven experience in construction safety management with a strong focus on safety leadership across multiple projects or sites.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC standards, Workers' Compensation policies, and EHS protocols.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management strategies specific to the construction industry.
- Hands-on experience with construction site safety inspections, incident investigations, and compliance audits.
- Familiarity with Procore construction management software tools that support safety documentation and reporting.
- Strong understanding of occupational health principles related to construction environments.
- Excellent communication skills for training delivery, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory reporting. Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
