Landscaping Foreman

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Foreman to lead our landscaping team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for landscape maintenance, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards. This role involves supervising daily operations, coordinating tasks, and providing hands-on support in various landscaping, lawn application and mowing activities.

Responsibilities

• Managing all landscaping projects, including design, installation, and maintenance
• Manage the planting of new shrubs, trees, perennials and flowers
• Trimming and pruning of shrubs, hedges and ornamental trees
• Weeding and mulching landscape beds
• Care for established lawns by aerating, thatching of lawns and trimming/edging around flower beds, etc.
• Complete Spring and Fall Clean-ups
• Install pavers, patios, walkways, retaining walls or other hardscaping
• Proper Installation of sod and grass seed
• Oversee the scheduling of work routes to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely manner
• Monitor the condition of lawns and landscapes, identifying any issues related to pests or diseases.
• Perform regular lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, and trimming to maintain healthy lawns.
• Utilize a variety of lawn and landscaping power equipment and hand tools.
• Supervise a crew of 2-3 members

Experience

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is required.
• Prior commercial landscape experience is also preferred
• Experience in retaining wall, flower bed and patio hardscapes
• Experience using landscaping equipment and tools
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Previous experience in weed control/fertilizer lawn application is preferred
• Pesticide Application License – is a huge plus but not required
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train and motivate a team effectively.
• Experience in commercial and residential mowing
• Must possess a valid driver's license for transportation to job sites.
• Safely operate trucks, trailers, and dump trucks
• Able to safely operate machinery (as instructed)
• Physical Stamina and the ability to work outdoors for long periods of time in all weather conditions.
• Able to sit, stand, kneel and lift/move 50 lbs. repeatedly with no physical limitations or restrictions.
• Must have time management skills
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Experience with snow removal is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
