Duties
- Operation of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning and perform basic maintenance or report issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and site procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Ability to travel when needed
Experience
- Prior experience operating a variety of construction machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Site prep and or forestry experience preferred
- Familiarity and demonstration of safety standards and operational procedures
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving heavy trucks preferred
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow detailed instructions accurately
