Job Summary:
Pax Services Group’s Project Managers are responsible for planning, and controlling every stage (from pre-construction, through completion) of roofing installations or repairs to commercial properties for multiple concurrent construction projects. Project Managers plan and design project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep upper management informed the entire way. Project Managers will manage multiple projects of different sizes and complexities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
• Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
• Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
• Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
• Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
• Manage budget and materials, identifying opportunities within estimates to improve cost performance, and coordinating proactively with project management and production teams.
• Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
• Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities within the estimates to outperform estimated cost and coordinate with the project management and production teams.
• Participate in job completion financial analysis, track performance metrics and bid results.
• Define project tasks, set deadlines, delegate responsibilities, and manage progress against expected deliverables
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including work on government contracts or public sector projects.
• OSHA 30 Safety certification, EM 385 1-1 certification, and CQM certification strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of government contracting regulations and compliance standards preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial roofing, specifically with single-ply, standing-seam, asphalt, cold applied, hot applied and metal projects preferred.
