Patuxent Materials, Inc. is seeking experienced heavy equipment operators. The heavy equipment operator's duties include preparing and operating heavy equipment to ensure the appropriate movement & extraction of materials.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a diploma and one year of year of experience operating heavy equipment in the excavation and/or production of aggregate materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maneuver motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials (Loaders, Excavators, Bulldozers, Crushing Equipment)
- Maintain an orderly and clean site by following the site plan, establishing individual piles of material, and generally keeping the site in an orderly state
- Comply with safety rules/codes as stated by governmental and regulatory agencies
- Communicate with coworkers to understand project specifications, as needed.
- Advise the foreman of needed repairs for equipment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses
- A sound understanding of proper safety guidelines.
- Ability to work extended hours, as required.
