Duties
- Perform general groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Maintain flower beds, gardens, and other landscaped areas through planting, weeding, and mulching.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks.
- Assist in building and installing landscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Participate in snow plowing activities during winter months to maintain safe access to properties.
- Follow safety protocols while performing all tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficient in groundskeeping techniques and landscape maintenance practices.
- Knowledgeable in garden care including planting, pruning, and pest management.
- Experience with lawn care practices such as aeration, fertilization, and weed control.
- Familiarity with operating hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools (mowers, trimmers).
- Ability to build landscape features with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance requirements.
