Role Description The Express Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Patty Peck Honda in Ridgeland, MS. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter replacements, and basic inspections on Honda and other vehicles. The Express Technician follows established service procedures, uses diagnostic tools and equipment safely, and completes work efficiently while maintaining dealership quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include documenting services performed, communicating any additional recommended repairs to service advisors, and helping ensure a clean, organized work environment. The role collaborates closely with service advisors, parts staff, and other technicians to deliver timely, accurate service and a positive experience for every customer.
Qualifications
- Foundational automotive maintenance skills, including basic diagnostics, routine service procedures, and safe operation of shop tools and equipment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and quality, with the ability to follow technical instructions, service manuals, and dealership processes accurately.
- Customer-focused communication skills to interact professionally with service advisors, teammates, and customers when needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate as part of a service team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of automotive training or certification program is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Willingness to learn Honda-specific service procedures and participate in ongoing training and development.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work with hands-on mechanical tasks safely.
