FOH / CASHIER

Compensation: $15/hr % of tip pool. ($15/hr base rate during training. Employees will enter the tip pool at the conclusion of training.)

Our Cashier Position requires an energetic, out going, and hospitality focussed individual with the goal of creating the best experience for our guests possible. This candidate will be willing to put themselves out there to increase sales, engage with each and every guest, create a fun and welcoming experience, and keep hospitality and service first

The ideal candidate is an individual who cares about day-to-day operations, understands the importance of smooth business systems, and prioritizes a healthy and safe workplace. This position requires open availability and flexibility, with the understanding that the business will provide flexibility where possible as well..

Schedule/Hours of Operation

• Ex Voto: M-F 11am-8pm Saturday 10am-8pm Sunday 10am-5pm
• Pattyboy: M-S 11am-8pm Sunday 11am-5pm
• Ex Voto: Lunch shifts: 9/10am-3/4pm Dinner shifts: 3/4pm-8pm
• Pattyboy: Lunch shifts: 10:30am-3/4pm Dinner shifts: 3/4pm-8pm
• : 25-30
• : 25 or less hours
• Additional hours may be required during high-volume periods, events, or staffing shortages

Responsibilities

Cashiers Mission:

• Education/Knowledge (know your menu!!!)

We will provide menus for both businesses, a document with important food and menu information conducive to the job, and an associated quiz must be passed at the conclusion of training in order to enter the tip pool.

• Engagement (talk to anyone that approaches the counter)
• Upsale (offer drinks, salsa, chips and dips and specials)
• Stay productive (stay away from your phone)

Quality Control

• Check orders for accuracy and quality and ensuring they go to the correct guest
• Ensuring daily specials are available in the POS and counts are accurate
• Support cultivating a safe, healthy, and inclusive workspace

Duties and Responsibilities

• Knowledge of at both Patty Boy and Ex Voto
• In depth menu knowledge to provide service and help to our guests
• Setup/Breakdown FOH according to standards and guidelines provided
• Provide a welcoming and hospitable environment for each and every guest
• Running food to guests and proactively getting orders to guests
• Maintain compliance with North Carolina Health Department guidelines
• Hospitality rooted in always giving the best experience and service
• Sidework such as stamping bags, labeling, branding, organizing, cleaning, etc
• Food Tours: conducting Taste Carolina food tours where the employee will be expected to give a brief description of the business and the offering to the guests
• Communication with the kitchen regarding specials, quantities, large orders, online orders, wait times, etc.
• Follow all employee handbook guidelines including code of conduct and dress code.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
